Eddie Sell is the creator and host of Firehouse Chefs.
Eddie has over 15 years of experience in the fire service along with his 20 years of cooking experience. The fusion of both passions has created Firehouse Chefs.
Currently, Eddie is a firefighter/paramedic in Long Beach, CA. His fire service career has taken him from the mountains of San Diego to the Bay Area and finally to Long Beach.
Before becoming a firefighter, Eddie was a chef in the United States Navy where, after placing high in his culinary class, he was given a unique opportunity to cook for an admiral as part as his personal staff of chefs. There, Eddie cooked for the admiral and other VIPs – not only while underway at sea, but at the admiral’s home as well as other locations.
Eddie’s love for cooking has continued throughout his career as a firefighter. Eddie’s unique take on food is inspired by his Latin culture and his love for creating flavor-packed recipes that heat up ordinary dishes.
In the show’s pilot episode, Eddie offers his savory original recipe for a quick and tasty firehouse favorite: blackened chicken fajitas with a cilantro-lime marinade, served with rice and beans.
